The Jackson County Clerk's office now has Civil and Criminal records searchable online. You can go to the Clerk of Courts website to access these records. You are able to search for free, but it will ask you to create a username and password if you want to print copies. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our office.

The Clerk of Court handles Superior & State civil & criminal records, Juvenile court, adoptions, real estate records, notaries, trade names and military discharges(DD214). We now also hold the records for Magistrate civil & criminal filings. You can still view the Magistrate filing fees & access the forms through the regular page or click the left tab for the link.
Our real estate records date back to when Jackson County was first established in 1796, with digital images available on public terminals dating back to January 1988. These records are available in our deed room, and employees will be glad to assist anyone not familiar with our programs.
Since 1999 we have been connected statewide with the Georgia Superior Court Clerk Cooperative Authority - with a public terminal in our office allowing an individual to check all counties for real estate records from one location.
We are currently imaging our older real estate, civil and criminal records so that copies will be more readily available to the public. For any civil or criminal records requested prior to 1998, please call ahead to check availability, and 24 hours notice is needed to acquire items located from our archived storage.
We accept Cash, Money Order or Cashiers Check. We are now set up for Debit/Credit cards, but there is a 4% convenience fee for this option.
